Weekend Tip Sheet
The following are our best football betting tips from the selected fixtures in the English Premier League, The Championship and across Europes Major leagues, and League Cups covering matches taking place between the 8th and 10th March 2019.
Premier League | Man Utd vs Watford
In their quest for a top-four finish, it’s crucial that Solskjaer regains United’s composure in the upcoming weeks. A favourable run in the next fortnight could see them leapfrog Arsenal, however, Watford has shown to be a match for many of the league this season. The Hornet’s are FA Cup semi-finalists with ambitions of finishing seventh; it’s a free hit for Gracia as he looks to imprint his side’s rough and tumble style on the Old Trafford pitch. Watford has already lost on the road to City, Liverpool, Spurs and Arsenal this season, with levels affecting their chances when they step up. United should have enough to get over the line, with a narrow win.
Man United to win and both teams to score @ 3.00
Premier League | West Ham vs Everton
West Ham’s dramatic win over Huddersfield signalled the first time they have won three home games in a row at the London Stadium. Everton has continued their unpredictable season by taking the scalp of Chelsea at Goodison, however, they still remain well off the pace in eleventh. The Toffees can leapfrog the hosts with a win in East London; they’ve not won away to West Ham since 2015. The Hammers have won this fixture the last two meetings 3-1, and I can’t see them losing on home turf. We’ve seen four goals in each of the last three meetings.
West Ham or draw @ 1.42
Over 3.5 goals @ 3.00
Premier League | Cardiff City vs Chelsea
Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ross Barkley couldn’t have done much more on International duty with England to convince Sarri of a starting place this weekend. Don’t expect the Italian to buckle; the 18-year-old winger is yet to start for the Blues in the Premier League. Chelsea’s eye seems off the ball in the Premier League, with the knowledge that they have five winnable matches in the Europa League to claim that elusive Champions League spot. Cardiff is swimming against the tide of relegation and need a spirited/physical performance to take anything from this fixture. Chelsea should have enough talent to stumble over the line.
Cardiff 0-1 Chelsea @ 7.00
Premier League | Fulham vs Man City
A perfect fixture for Man City to role into following the International break. Fulham is all but relegated, with abysmal performances against the best sides in the league emphasizing their struggles – especially in defence. Fulham has conceded a staggering 70, with Man City scoring 79: two ends of the spectrum. City has shown no mercy in playing weaker outfits this season, with a sense that this one may get messy. City in the handicaps is a steal.
Man City -3 handicap @ 2.87
Championship | Wigan Athletic vs Brentford
This is a classic case of home form vs. away form. Wigan has enjoyed nine of their ten league wins on home soil this season, with Brentford only notching up two of their thirteen wins on the road; a quite astonishing couple of home-birds. Neither team come into this fixture in the best of form, however, The Bees have a hunger to push towards the playoffs in their remaining nine games – a feat not totally impossible. A win on Saturday will springboard them into a run of winnable fixtures. The price indicates their poor form on the road, however, Wigan have their own problems.
Brentford to win @ 2.10
Championship | Leeds United vs Millwall
This derby match will be as fiercely contested in the stands as it will on the pitch. It’s still a case of three goes into two at the top of the Championship, with Leeds currently left without an automatic promotion chair as the music stopped over the International break. They’ve lost three of their last seven at Elland Road, however, Millwall’s form is fairly bleak. There is something in the air surrounding this fixture, with Leeds assured to have to work for the whole ninety minutes.
Leeds vs Millwall draw @ 4.20
Championship | Nottm Forest vs Swansea City
Forest’s bizarre season of highs and lows looks in danger of petering out in familiar style towards the back end of the season. O’Neil has eight matches to sneak into the top six, however, the struggle in stringing a positive run of results together has stifled their progress in 2019. Swansea has lost four of their last five Championship matches, and with a majority of Forest’s best work coming at the City Ground, it could be a tough afternoon for the visitors.
Under 2.5 goals @ 1.80
Serie A | Sampdoria vs Milan
Milan looks to be edging towards Champions League football again, barring a disaster couple of months towards the end of the season. Their loss in the Milan derby ended a run of 15 matches unbeaten to teams not called Juventus; sitting in third, four points clear of Lazio is a comfortable position entering March. Samp has been in good form themselves, still eyeing up a shot at a Europa League spot. Milan has won the last three meetings, including four of the last five in Genoa.
Milan to win @ 2.37
