Analysis:

“Ole’s at the wheel. Tell me how good does it feel”. It must feel bloody great. United’s Norwegian heart-throb has transformed this United side into winners again. Wednesday night’s win in Paris was not in the script, even by United fans’ wildest dreams. Priced at 19.00 to qualify for the quarters, a last-minute VAR-inspired Rashford penalty saw the Red Devils complete “mission impossible” – recording their ninth consecutive away victory.

Arsenal will have been watching on with mixed feelings. Sure, United will be pumped coming into this Sunday’s clash, but with notable names still expecting to be missing for the trip to the Emirates, how much gas is left in Ole’s tank?! The inclusion of teenagers Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood late on was a joy to see, but a hand that was forced. Inexperience may be exposed in a Premier League fixture when more is expected.

Arsenal’s home form in the Premier League has been impeccable. A solitary loss to Man City on the opening weekend of the season and two draws to Liverpool and Wolves have been the only issues on home soil this campaign. Emery has tapped into the importance of home form, and with two or more goals scored in their last six Emirates fixtures, the Gunners are brimming with confidence in North London.

One small caveat. Man United’s 3-1 FA Cup win at the Emirates at the end of January will play heavy on the host's minds. United’s pace and counter-attacking philosophy was the reason behind this win; with Martial and Lingard still major doubts, Solskjaer will have to implement a Lukaku-based offence to break down Arsenal.

The Belgian striker is finding his form again. Two goals in Paris followed on from a brace in his previous two matches against Southampton and Palace. He’ll always be a threat in this reinvigorated United side, with Arsenal’s lack of pace at the back under scrutiny this weekend.

It’s a case of home form vs. away form, on Sunday. Which will break first? With just a point separating the sides in the league, a win for either will put down a big marker in their respective quests for a place in the top four. Ole’s injuries may finally catch up with him this weekend, with a draw not a disaster for either.
