Weekend Tip Sheet

The following are our best football betting tips from the selected fixtures in the English Premier League, The Championship and across Europes Major leagues, and League Cups covering matches taking place between the 8th and 10th March 2019.

Premier League | Man United vs West Ham

United’s lackluster performances in the Champions League on Wednesday will be a concern as the end of the season approaches. They failed to create a single shot on target against a Barcelona side who were well below their best. West Ham have had a week to prepare for this fixture following a Monday night loss to Eden Hazard FC; their intensity in the second half proved they haven’t yet given up on this season despite very little incentive. This could be a cagey affair, with West Ham’s patience forcing frustration inside Old Trafford.

Under 2.5 goals @ 2.50

Premier League | Crystal Palace vs Man. City

Palace are one of the only sides to boast an unbeaten record against Man City in their last two meetings. A 3-2 win at the Etihad before Christmas as well as a 0-0 draw last season at Selhurst Park proves Pep has his work cut out in solving the Hodgson jigsaw puzzle. Rests for De Bruyne and Leroy Sane mean the due are likely to start in South London this weekend, with Aguero hoping to be match-fit after playing only 70 minutes against Tottenham. Every game is must-win for City at the moment, and it’s hard to imagine Pep coming up short at the third time of asking.

Premier League | Fulham vs Everton

Three wins on the spin against high-level opposition has seen Everton climb up to ninth spot in the league, just a point off seventh. Fulham can’t stop losing, or haemorrhaging goals, with the Toffees expectant of chances in West London on Saturday. Fulham have lost six of their last seven matches at the Cottage and are already dreaming of life back in the Championship.

They’ve conceded more than one goal in their last seven matches at home. Everton won’t show any mercy.

Everton to win @ 1.75

Premier League | Brighton vs Bournemouth

Brighton’s gutsy performance in the FA Cup semi-final needs to remain a distant memory, as the Seagulls look to cement their place in the Premier League for another season. They sit five points ahead of Cardiff with a game in hand, knowing that wins in their next two home matches will keep them afloat. Bournemouth have plummeted in the league after overachieving in the first part of the season. They have the worst defence outside of the bottom three, with Brighton looking to pounce at the AMEX. When the chips are down, Brighton win these sort of games at home.

Brighton to win @ 2.25

Championship | Aston Villa vs Bristol City

A huge clash between the Championship’s 5th and 6th placed sides dominate proceedings on Saturday with a win for either all but guaranteeing their spot in the playoffs this season. Both are unbeaten in their last five outings, but with seven wins on the spin, Villa can argue their case for currently being the best side in the league. The last two meetings at Villa Park have gone heavily in the way of the hosts. A 5-0 win last season with a 2-0 win the year before have put the Villains firmly in the driving seat. Villa’s last five outings have featured over 2.5 goals, with Saturday looking likely to follow suit. The hosts don’t mind conceding in order to win.

Aston Villa to win @ 1.90

Championship | Leeds United vs Sheff. Wednesday

With five matches to go, Leeds are looking to keep their head above water in the race for automatic promotion. They have a point lead over Sheffield United in second, with an Elland Road fixture against the other Sheffield club this Saturday. Wednesday have shot up the table after a fine run of form in recent weeks; one league loss in their last 14 has allowed them to sneak into the running for a playoff place. Leeds still look edgy and are capable of dropping points at home. This may be nervy, with both sides scoring.

Both teams to score @ 1.90

Serie A | Milan vs Lazio

A win for Lazio at the San Siro this weekend could really shake up the race for the top four. Just three points separate Milan in 4th to Torino in 8th; Lazio sit in 7th but are struggling themselves for form. Milan have taken just one point from their last four league matches, and with just seven matches to go are in danger of falling away at the final hurdles. Lazio have recently lost to SPAL, Sevilla and Genoa on the road, so are right to be placed as underdogs on Saturday. Neither side will want to lose this, with a draw frustrating to neutral.

Milan vs Lazio draw @ 3.30

La Liga | Sevilla vs Real Betis

The Seville derby hits the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this weekend, with just six points separating both clubs. With four wins in their last five matches, Sevilla have catapulted theirselves into the Champions League picture after a sloppy season on a whole. Getafe are within striking distance if they can take all three points from their city rivals on Saturday. Betis have taken just two wins on the road in their last eleven outings, with Sevilla playing too well to drop precious points. Ben Yedder may prove the difference.

Sevilla to win @ 1.66
