Weekend Tip Sheet

The following are our best football betting tips from the selected fixtures in the English Premier League, The Championship and across Europes Major leagues, and League Cups covering matches taking place between the 8th and 10th March 2019.

Premier League | Bournemouth vs Tottenham

Back-to-back defeats to Spurs have underlined their stretched squad. Priorities will no doubt lie in their second leg trip to Amsterdam next week, but Pochettino will want to escape the South Coast with at least a point. It’s a free hit for Bournemouth, with Fraser and Wilson continuing to assist each other at an incredible rate. The visitors will be put under pressure at the Vitality Stadium, with goals likely to flow.

Bournemouth or draw @ 2.00

Premier League | Chelsea vs Watford

Six points from their last two matches will guarantee Chelsea a Champions League spot. Watford may have one eye on their FA Cup final at the end of the month, unwilling to overcook the squad in training. Chelsea look solid at home, and although they struggled against a blunt Burnley, Watford should be put to the sword. This will possibly be Eden Hazard’s penultimate match at Stamford Bridge; he’ll shine.

Chelsea to win @ 1.40

Both teams not to score @ 1.95

Premier League | Newcastle vs Liverpool

Liverpool don’t look like stumbling in their remaining matches; the problem for them is, neither do City. The Redmen’s 3-0 defeat at the Nou Camp didn’t tell the whole story, with the away side causing many problems in Barcelona. The Magpies may take the brunt of Klopp’s frustration with a confident away display. Liverpool can’t afford to rest any of their stars with, probably, just three matches left this season. Perez has looked a threat all season at St. James’; he’ll come closest to breaching Alisson’s goal.

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.72

Premier League | Arsenal vs Brighton

Relief for Arsenal on Thursday saw them stick three past Valencia in a 3-1 Europa League semi-final win. The Gunners had lost their last three fixtures, conceding three in each, with their race for a Champions League spot looking lost. A win against the Seagulls is vital this weekend. Brighton arguably need another point to guarantee safety, and they’ll fancy it more at the Emirates than against City on the last day of the season. Brighton don’t score often, but could frustrate the hosts.

Under 2.5 goals @ 2.10

Premier League | Huddersfield vs Man Utd

Huddersfield have been torn apart in recent weeks, as they limp back to the Championship next season. United are struggling without any real threat upfront. Solskjaer knows he needs six points from their two remaining games to have any chance of slipping through the back door to the top four. Pogba will be able to boss this midfield and inject some life into the suffering Red Devils. Many of the squad will be playing for their shirt next season; anything but a convincing win will be deemed a failure.

Both teams to score @ 2.05

Championship | Derby County vs West Brom

A win for Derby will see them seal their own fate and guarantee a spot in this year’s playoffs. Depending on Boro’s result at Rotherham – and outsiders Bristol City –  a point may be enough, however, Lampard will be on the attack at Pride Park. The Rams have won six of their last nine home matches, currently enjoying a run of one defeat in their last 11. The Baggies are playing to  similarly high standard, but with their spot in fourth pretty much confirmed, they’ll have one eye on resting the squad for the playoffs.

Both teams to score @ 1.57

Derby to finish in the top 6 @ 1.40

Championship | Rotherham vs Middlesbrough

Relegated Rotherham are unlikely to put up much of a fight against Pulis’ Middlesbrough. The Millers have won one of their last eight matches, and with the visitors in desperate need of a win to keep their playoff hopes alive, it’s looking like a bleak afternoon at the New York Stadium. Boro have the second best defence in the league this season and should be able to shut out the hosts. Both teams have failed to score in the last six meetings.

Middlesbrough to win @ 1.70

Serie A | Aston Villa vs Norwich City

Coming away with anything from Villa Park will assure Norwich of winning the 2018-19 Championship. Villa are an incredible unbeaten run as they look to continue their form into the playoffs; they can’t finish anywhere other than fifth, so may decide to rest players ahead of their playoff first leg. Norwich have only lost on six occasions this season and should have enough to edge over the line. This will be a competitive fixture from two of the most exciting sides this season.

Aston Villa vs Norwich draw @ 3.40
