English Premier League – Betting Tips

Premier League Betting Tips – 24th – 27th August, 2018

The following are betting tips for selected fixtures in the English Premier League, covering matches taking place between the 24th and 27th August, 2018.

Wolves vs Man City

City were their irresistible self against Huddersfield last weekend, and with Wolves finding life hard in the Premier League, don’t expect Pep to show any mercy. Expect City to rotate once again, with Sterling in line to return after not featuring in last weekend’s 6-1 demolition. City have lost this fixture once in their last nine meetings; it’ll be once in ten by Saturday afternoon. The Molineux faithful may assist a Wolves strike, however, leaks at the back will allow City to flourish, with players fighting for starting places.

Wolves 1-3 Man City @ 12.0 with Bet365 | Stake £10, return £120.00

Bournemouth vs Everton

Arguably, Bournemouth have been the surprise package this early on in the season. Two wins from two, Eddie Howe’s Cherries will target an Everton side still juggling with it’s best eleven. Richarlison is looking worth every bit of his £50 million price tag; his relationship with Tosun and Sigurdsson is already flourishing. Goals are usually guaranteed in this exciting fixture, and with 19 strikes in their last five meetings, backing the goals markets looks sensible. With Everton playing away from home, the BTTS market screams value in this balanced match.

Both teams to score @ 1.62 with William Hill | Stake £10, return £16.20

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.80 with Betfair | Stake £10, return £18.00

Watford vs Crystal Palace

Javi Gracia looks to be settling Watford down into a team that can compete this season. Palace, similarly, are expected to be pressing towards the top half of the season. Right-back Wan-Bissaka has been a revelation for Hodgson’s Palace so far; his suspension will allow Roberto Pereyra to attack from the left. The last ten meetings haven’t been separated by more than one goal, with Watford winless in their last five clashes. Home advantage will prove crucial for the Hornets with another tight affair expected. The draw can’t be ignored.

Newcastle vs Chelsea

Chelsea’s new defence looked shaky against Arsenal’s attack last Saturday; their new attack, under Sarri, flourished. Quick movement on the ball and fast counters, Chelsea will be hard to keep out this season. Kenedy’s ineligibility will leave a creative void in the Newcastle starting eleven, with Benitez’s side only scoring once in their first two games. Chelsea haven’t won at St. James’ Park since 2011, however, expect the Blues to break this hoodoo on Saturday buoyed by their new Italian regime; six goals in two games will be hard to negate for the Magpies.

Under 2.5 goals @ 2.06 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £20.60

Man Utd vs Tottenham

Pressure is building at Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho’s self-implosion continues. The United manager faces a constant struggle against players, the board and himself, as he looks to guide the Red Devils towards silverware this season. Spurs have started brightly, and with Kane’s August duck now behind him, Pochettino’s men will be confident of causing problems in Manchester. United have won the last four meetings at Old Trafford, with Tottenham not scoring a single goal. ‘Parking the bus’ may be prevalent in spells again on Saturday, however, Jose’s side should have enough guile to find the net. This will be tight – six of the last seven meetings have been separated by a singular goal – with a draw showing value.
