Juventus vs SPAL (Serie A)
Six points clear of Napoli, Juventus look to be cantering towards another Scudetto title without any real dramas. 26 goals, with eight conceded, the Old Lady have successfully negated eleven of their twelve league tests, with just one draw against Genoa ruining their 100% record. With the chasing pack all taking points off of each other it looks good for Allegri’s side as we approach Christmas. SPAL have shocks in them. Two away wins against Roma and Bologna have proved they are no pushovers in Serie A, however, the prospect of a trip to Turin is a daunting one. Juventus won’t slip up here.

Lazio vs Milan (Serie A)
Milan are the entertainers of Serie A; Lazio are the battlers. This fixture is the standout in Italy this weekend as two sides separated by just one point lock horns in the capital. Milan’s last outing saw them lose 2-0 at home to Juventus where Higuain saw red; Lazio were just as disappointed in drawing 1-1 in Sassuolo. Immobile could prove the difference this weekend as he looks to add to his eight league goals. Milan should score, but may come up just short.

Atletico Madrid vs Barcelona (La Liga)
Atleti can boast the record of having suffered just one defeat this season, with their famous defence tested to the max this weekend as they invite the arrival of the league leaders Barcelona. Just when it looked like Barca would kick on, they lost 4-3 at home to Betis in a thriller; Atleti will see this weekend as a huge chance to move to the top of the table. The hosts have only scored 16 goals this season, but as always are keeping it tight at the back with just eight conceded. Barcelona will score but will be hard pressed to get three points.

Sevilla vs Valladolid (La Liga)
Sevilla are continuing to knock on the door of the La Liga summit. Just one point behind Barca – with the league leaders travelling to Atleti this weekend – Los Rojiblancos will be targetting three points over Valladolid. The visitors sit in seventh having lost just three of their twelve outings so far; a bunched mid-table could see them drop dramatically with a couple of losses. Sevilla are averaging at two goals a game – back the hosts to add to that this weekend couple with a win.

Caen vs Monaco (Ligue 1)
A worry turned into a struggle. That struggle has now turned into a full-blown crisis in Monaco as Thierry Henry’s impact continues to fail to blast last year’s runners-up out of trouble. They’ve won just one of their thirteen Ligue 1 matches, with seven points seeing them tied bottom with Guingamp. Caen aren’t doing too much better. Sat in seventeenth just five points above the 2017 champions, Caen will be relying on the home support at the Stade Michel d’Ornano to compound Henry’s woes. It’s likely to be nervy and tight, with the unders market worth a look at.
