CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING TIPS – WEEK 5 – 27th and 28th November, 2018
The following are betting tips for selected fixtures from week 3 of the Champions League, covering matches taking place between the 27th and 28th November, 2018.
Man United vs Young Boys
United’s 0-0 draw at the weekend confirmed their worst start to a campaign in 28 years. They will be looking to use Young Boys as cannon fodder as they get back to winning ways at Old Trafford. The Swiss champions were used in this way by United last time they were struggling in September; expect a similar scoreline to the 3-0 they conjured up on the opening match day. The visitors are destined to finish bottom of Group H and won’t be expected to add to their two European goals.

Roma vs Real Madrid
Both sides are locked on nine points at the top of Group G, with a win putting either side in pole position to win the group. Both Roma and Madrid suffered defeats at the weekend, however, the nature of Real’s loss to Eibar will have been a bigger dent to confidence. Roma’s price to get a win here is too good to turn down, with Madrid getting used to this losing feeling so far.

Atletico Madrid vs Monaco
Monaco’s season so far has been nothing short of a disaster. With Thierry Henry now at the helm, the former French champions have won one in seventeen outings having got their first three points this past weekend away at Caen. They are down and out of their Champions League Group A, with Atleti looking to turn the screw in Madrid. The hosts have their own ambitions of winning the group, so should be able to sweep aside the vulnerable visitors. It could get messy, with the Spanish side looking to build on their goal difference.

Tottenham vs Inter
Spurs made a mockery of their London rivals on Saturday as they swept three past Sarri’s formerly unbeaten Chelsea. They are still alive in Group B, but three points against Inter is the only result they can take. Inter know a draw will see them pretty much through to the knockout stages, so may arrive at Wembley Stadium with plans to defend. Inter are playing too well to get their tummies tickled on Wednesday evening, but Tottenham won’t give up without a fight. This could be the match of the round.

PSG vs Liverpool
Group C is so finely balanced that a win for either side here will put them into pole position to qualify for the knockout stages. Two points separate all four teams in the group, with Napoli feeling most confident ahead of their match with Belgrade. Liverpool are looking assured at the back and will take confidence over their win against PSG earlier on in the competition; the problem is, PSG look unstoppable at home. PSG have beaten everyone they’ve played since their loss to Liverpool – barring two draws against Napoli. Back the home win here as Klopp comes unstuck in Paris.
