Europa League – Betting Tips – Week 5
Europa League Betting Tips – Group Stage, Week 5 –
29th November , 2018
The following are betting tips for selected fixtures from week 1 of the group stage of the Europa League, covering matches taking place on the 29th November, 2018.
Rosenborg vs Celtic
Rosenborg are down and out in Group B (effectively), so a spirited yet underwhelming performance is expected on Thursday against the Scottish champions. Celtic are tied with RB Leipzig on six points, with the Scots hopeful that the Germans will slip up in Salzburg leaving the door to second spot wide open. Celtic are unbeaten in their last six outings scoring 18 goals in the process. This trip to Denmark won’t be straight forward, but Rogers should be able to forge all three points. It was 1-0 to Celtic in the reverse fixture; it wouldn’t be a shock to see this result again.
Celtic to win @ 1.73 with Betway | Bet £10.00, return £17.30
Under 2.5 goals @ 2.19 with Marathon Bet | Bet £10.00, return £21.90
Milan vs Dudelange
Milan have ended up in a dog fight to escape their competitive Group F. It was looking likely from the offset, however, the Italian side now have a chance to take a big step towards the knockouts. Dudelange are pointless, with one goal scored in their four Europa League ties. Not much will be expected of the Luxembourg side’s trip to the San Siro, with Milan playing attractive, entertaining football. This will be a breeze, with Gattuso flexing his muscles. The handicap looks tempting with goal difference potentially coming into play in a fortnight.
Milan -3 handicap @ 2.23 with Black Type | Bet £10.00, return £22.30
Rangers vs Villarreal
Group G looks to be the most competitive of the lot. Four sides are separated by just two points, with Villarreal leading the march on six. In theory, the Spanish side should be comfortable with a draw at the Ibrox Stadium on Thursday, with Rangers playing some good attacking football in recent weeks. Gerrard’s side have netted ten times in their last two matches, and will take heart from their 2-2 draw in Spain the last time these two met. Rangers need something from this fixture or hope of qualifying for the knockouts will slip away. It’s in their reach, with a point a piece looking tempting.
Rangers – Villarreal draw @ 3.70 with Betfair | Bet £10.00, return £37.00
Vorskla vs Arsenal
With the North London derby arriving on Sunday, expect Emery to rotate heavily with his side’s trip to the Ukraine coming at an awkward time. The Gunners have a little breathing space at the top of Group E, with qualification assured; they’ll still be chasing three points on Thursday, however, as they look to fend off Sporting’s challenge. Vorskla aren’t the no-hopers that the Europa League expected. They won out in Qarabag as well as scoring twice at the Emirates. A weakened Arsenal side may struggle until late at the Stadion Vorskla.
Draw-Arsenal HT/FT @ 4.95 with Marathon Bet | Bet £10.00, return £49.50
Salzburg vs RB Leipzig
Salzburg have been faultless so far in their Group B. 14 goals scored in their four wins, the Austrian side will be looking to put RB Leipzig to the sword and confirm their top spot. They won this fixture 3-2 in Germany on the opening match day; RB Leipzig need a result, however, so don’t expect the visitors to lie down. Salzburg are unbeaten in their last 32 matches, remarkably, and should be able to negate the challenge of the visitors. Expect goals. Goals tend to follow Salzburg wherever they go.
Over 3.5 goals @ 1.66 with Marathon Bet | Bet £10.00, return £16.60
