Midweek Tip Sheet, 25th February 2019 | Football Betting Tips | Football Advisor

Midweek Tip Sheet

The following are our best football betting tips from the selected fixtures in the English Premier League, The Championship and across Europes Major leagues, and League Cups covering matches taking place between the 26th and 28th February, 2019.

Premier League | Arsenal vs Bournemouth

Arsenal have had limited problems at the Emirates this season. A favourable run for the Gunners has allowed them to stay relevant in the race for fourth spot, despite being favoured by the bookies to finish sixth. The Cherries have struggled since their 4-0 win to Chelsea, with a last minute equalizer from Wolves at the weekend keeping them pinned in tenth. Arsenal have won all three fixtures against Bournemouth at the Emirates, with eight goals scored in three matches. The goals could flow in this one, with Bournemouth continuing to leak chances.

Arsenal to win @ 1.40

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.53

Premier League | Huddersfield vs Wolves

Wolves have stayed alive in most matches this season since their promotion, but often struggle to put sides to the sword after dominating patches. Huddersfield are playing for nothing but pride for the rest of the season; it’s unlikely the visitors will get it all their own way. The Terriers shocked Wolves back in November with a 2-0 away win, in fact, Huddersfield have won the last four meetings without conceding. This run should come to an end this midweek, but it may disappoint as a spectacle. Wolves aren’t prolific, and have become reliant on the form of Jimenez.

Under 2.5 goals @ 1.57

Premier League | Leicester vs Brighton

Puel’s sacking on Sunday morning was the least surprising news of the season so far. His days have been numbered, with a 4-1 loss to Palace proving the final nail in the coffin. Brighton aren’t a side you can lose a home match too if you are in this position. The Seagulls famously pick up very little on the road, so nothing but three points will be deemed acceptable at the King Power. This being said, the Foxes look wounded, and have arguably run out of motivation lingering in mid-table. A point will mean more to Brighton, and they should be able to battle to one under the guidance of Hughton.

Leicester vs Brighton draw @ 3.50

Premier League | Crystal Palace vs Man Utd

United’s draw with Liverpool came at a cost at the weekend. Plagued by injuries in a crazy 25 minute spell, Solskjaer will be left scratching his head amidst selection issues ahead of their trip to South London. Palace haven’t lost in their last four league matches, with Hodgson enjoying a good spell at the helm. They are all but safe after a tough start to the season; Batshuayi looks a savvy loan signing. This will be a hard night’s work for United. Palace are worth a point.

C Palace vs Man United draw @ 3.40

Under 2.5 goals @ 1.90

Championship | QPR vs Leeds

It’s now seven Championship defeats in a row for QPR, as they continue to slide down the division they worked so hard to climb pre-Christmas. They’ve stayed alive in a lot of these matches, however, their 2-0 loss to Boro’ at the weekend signaled a slight submission from McClaren’s side. Leeds are still walking the promotional tightrope with a game on hand on the top two Norwich and Sheff United. This is the sort of game that won’t fit the script. QPR should be buoyed under the lights, with Leeds continuing to show vulnerabilities under pressure. Leeds have won just one of their last five away matches.

QPR vs Leeds draw @ 3.40

Championship | Hull vs Millwall

Millwall’s FA Cup form hasn’t translated into their Championship results as many may have expected. They were bought back down to earth at the hands of Preston at the weekend in a 3-1 home loss; Hull City will provide a similarly strong opposition. The Tigers need to make movements if they are to trouble the playoff spots. They’ve had a few purple patches this season, but may be running out of steam. Jarrod Bowen’s 16 league goals have been vital. Millwall may be able to limit Hull until late on, with one goal proving enough.

Hull 1-0 Millwall @ 7.00

Championship | Bristol City vs Birmingham

Bristol City’s run had to come to an end eventually. Their 3-2 loss at the hands of Norwich was a real advert for this division, with both sides showing why they are being considered as true promotion candidates. The Bristol bubble hasn’t burst yet, and despite a competent Birmingham – with promotion aspirations of their own – visiting, Bristol City are deserved favourites. A win will see them underline their playoff position.

Bristol City to win @ 1.95

Scottish Premiership  | Hearts vs Celtic

This hasn’t been a happy fixture for Hearts in recent times. Celtic have won 12 of the last 13 meetings, with 3 or more goals being scored on 7 of those occasions. The gap at the top of the Scottish Premiership has been extended to eight now, with Celtic putting their foot down since the winter break. They’ve won all seven of their league matches since the break conceding just one goal; Hearts aren’t showing the form for a possible upset. Hearts have found the net in nine of their last ten, so will be confident in breaching Scott Bain’s goal.

Celtic to win and both teams to score @ 2.50
