Roma vs Inter (Serie A)
This is the standout tie in Serie A this weekend, with Roma looking for the spark their drab start to the season needs. After finishing third last season their currently standing in seventh was underlined by a poor loss to Udinese last weekend; their loss to Madrid was equally as disheartening considering the struggles of the Spanish side. Inter are continuing to mount pressure on second spot after a strong run of results. They look strong at the back with Icardi always looking dangerous up top. Roma need a big performance, however, a draw looks like the most they can achieve.

Fiorentina vs Juventus (Serie A)
Fiorentina are struggling. Five straight draws in the league has seen them slip down to 10th after a fairly comfortable start. Comfort will be taken in their four wins all coming at the Artemio Franchi, however, as they look to stop the juggernaut that is Juventus. The reigning champions have only dropped two points this season; with an eight point gap at the top of Serie A it looks like the Scudetto is in safe hands for another year. Juventus have won the last two meetings without conceding, with a third expected this weekend.

Real Madrid vs Valencia (La Liga)
A 3-0 loss to Eibar was the worst possible start to life in the hot seat for Santiago Solari. It’s very strange times in Madrid at the moment with the team failing to click at all; the consistent omission of Isco in the starting eleven is a concern for their attacking flair. Valencia are in their own turmoil but have managed to put two wins together back-to-back for the first time this season. They’ll smell their chance at the Bernabeu this weekend and it wouldn’t be a shock if they got a point.

Girona vs Atletico Madrid (La Liga)
Before last weekend, Atletico were leading a top European league with the least goals scored at this stage for the past 17 years. It’s a credit to their defensive displays – which we have become used to – but there is a fear that Simeone’s side are losing their ruthless streak. They should have beaten Barcelona last weekend, but fail to take chances in the big matches. Girona are performing well against the odds and are up to seventh; they, also, are shy in front of goal. It makes sense to put a big stake on there being under 2.5 goals in this one, following the form book.
Under 2.5 goals @ 1.80 with Betfair | Stake £10, return £18.00
Dortmund vs Freiburg (Bundesliga)
Dortmund are setting the pace in the Bundesliga with their German rivals Bayern falling at every hurdle. They are short priced to beat eleventh placed Freiburg this weekend, however, with both of these fixtures ending in a draw last season it’s worth following the value rather than a 1.28 priced Dortmund. The hosts struggled to break down Club Brugge in midweek, and may find the same on Saturday afternoon.
Freiburg or draw @ 3.75
