English Premier League – Betting Tips

Premier League Betting Tips – 31st – 3rd September, 2018

The following are betting tips for selected fixtures in the English Premier League, covering matches taking place between the 31st August and the 3rd September, 2018.

Leicester vs Liverpool

Liverpool are yet to concede a goal this season. A stat not worth dwelling on for too long considering the 270 minutes of football played against beatable opposition, however, Leicester are still without their major goal threat – Jamie Vardy – through suspension. There is a fear that Liverpool will be able to unpick sides on the counter away from home with ease this season; the Foxes may witness this first hand. The Reds won this fixture 3-2 last season, however, will take a more controlled victory this season. The recent run of goals in this fixture isn’t expected to continue, with Liverpool knowing how to kill sides with a solid defence.

Liverpool to win @ 1.47 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £14.70

Under 2.5 goals @ 2.25 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £22.50

Brighton vs Fulham

Brighton survived last season off the back of their home form; Fulham, arguably, got promoted off the back of their away form (41 points in 23 matches). The Cottagers got rolling last weekend after back-to-back defeats, with Aleksandar Mitrovic leading the line against Burnley to perfection. This one will be tight, with neither side accepting defeat. The draw shows value, but also the unders goals markets with Brighton attempting another 1-0 AMEX victory.

Brighton-Fulham draw @ 3.40 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £34.00

Under 2.5 goals @ 1.97 with Marathon | Stake £10, return £19.70

West Ham vs Wolves

West Ham have been pointless so far under Pellegrini, this isn’t to say that they haven’t got potential this season. This being said, a home match against a newly promoted side has now become a ‘must-win’ when looking at West Ham’s fixtures that follow. Wolves are expected to eek into the top half this season, and with a creative Portuguese core, the Hammers may once again struggle. Both sides have goals in them, with the BTTS market looking too good to turn down. Avoid picking a winner, however, with backing a draw at half-time showing value.

Both teams to score @ 1.66 with Marathon | Stake £10, return £16.60

Draw at half-time @ 2.25 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £22.50

Burnley vs Manchester United

United need to react after back-to-back defeats. The fans still seem to be backing Mourinho, with a trip to struggling Burnley coming at the perfect time. United are undefeated in this fixture over the past three seasons, without conceding a goal. Burnley’s European adventure looks to have stifled their league form (as expected) and Jose will benefit from Sean Dyche’s continued misery. United to get the win, albeit unconvincing at times.

Man United to win @ 1.71 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £17.10

Both teams not to score @ 1.75 with Betfair | Stake £10, return £17.50

Cardiff vs Arsenal

Cardiff are the only side in the English football league who are yet to score. A worrying stat for Neil Warnock and his Welsh outfit. Emery is slowly getting to know his best eleven, with half-time tinkering apparent against West Ham last weekend. Cech’s days in goal look numbered with Leno looking likely to step in; either way, Cardiff’s barren spell looks likely to continue with Kenneth Zohore painting a lonely picture being tasked with breaking the duck. Arsenal should sneak a win, in a tight affair.

Under 2.5 goals @ 2.15 with Marathon | Stake £10, return £21.15

Both teams not to score @ 1.90 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £19.00
