At. Bilbao vs Real Madrid (La Liga)

Both of these fixtures finished in draws last campaign; a stark reminder of the threat that Bilbao expect to pose in this season’s La Liga. Despite this, Madrid have historically had the edge over Basque side, and with a strong start to this year’s campaign Los Blancos will expect to take three points away from San Mames.

Napoli vs Fiorentina (Serie A)

There have been 19 goals in the five matches these two sides have played so far this season. Both look good and both are expected to go at each other on Saturday. Napoli still look their scintillating best when they are on the front foot, however, with the Jorginho void proving hard to fill they will give up possession a lot more this campaign. Giovanni Simeone is one to watch up front for the visitors.

Back over 3.5 goals @ 2.59 with Matchbook | Stake £10, return £25.90

Cagliari vs AC Milan (Serie A)

Still playing catch up due to their postponed Genoa fixture, Milan’s league position of fourteenth will be of little concern after two fixtures against Napoli and Roma. They scored two in both of these fixtures, losing one and winning the other, and when Higuain begins to score for his new club, Milan will thrive. Cagliari lost both of these fixtures 2-1 last season, and with three wins in 44 meetings it’s a big ask to expect a home three points on Sunday evening. We may, just, see Milan flourish this weekend, putting a marker down for the season ahead.

Both teams not to score @ 1.96 with Smarkets | Stake £10, return £19.60

Juventus vs Sassuolo (Serie A)

Three from three, Juve look the real deal, again, this season. It’ll take a monster effort for one of the chasing pack to forbid the Old Lady its eighth straight Scudetto. Juventus won by a 10-1 aggregate last year, and with added firepower in the form of ‘CR9’, don’t expect a change in narrative. Sassuolo have started well this season with seven points taken from a possible nine, however, this jump up in opposition will underline their flaws. Ronaldo will score this weekend, finally.

Juventus to win and both teams not to score @ 1.95 with Bet365 | Stake £10, return £19.50

Cristiano Ronaldo to score @ 1.65 with Betway | Stake £10, return £16.50

PSG v St Etienne (Ligue 1)

St-Etienne have held PSG twice in the past two seasons, however, the aggregate score of the other two fixtures was 8-0 to Les Parisiens. There is a clear gulf between these two despite Les Verts flirting around the sixth to eighth league position over the past few seasons. The visitors are unbeaten so far this campaign, with one win and three draws. PSG have scored 13 in four outings so far and already look like cantering to the title after early falls from Monaco, Lyon and Marseille. The home side have conceded in three of their four games so far, so backing both teams to score could prove profitable at above evens.

Both teams to score @ 2.10 with Smarkets  | Stake £10, return £21.00

PSG -2.5 asian handicap @ 2.71 with Smarkets  | Stake £10, return £27.10
