The Championship – Betting Tips

The Championship Betting Tips – 22nd September – 24th September, 2018

The following are betting tips for selected fixtures in The Championship, covering matches taking place between the 22nd September and 24th September, 2018.

Nottingham Forest vs Rotherham

Forest got only their second win of the season midweek as they dispatched of Sheffield Wednesday at the City Ground. They’ll be eyeing their third with the Millers in town, who have only secured points at home this season. Incredibly, all of their three victories have come in 1-0 home wins; little is expected of their trip to Forest. Lewis Grabban and Joao Carvalho look dangerous for the home side.

Aston Villa vs Sheffield Wed

With pressure continuing to mount on Steve Bruce, a midweek victory over Rotherham was timely. Wednesday have won just one point in their last two after a solid run of three wins; they’ll still be a threat against Villa’s vulnerable defence. The Villains have conceded 12 in eight: the second most in the top half of the table. Both matches finished in away wins last season with nine goals scored in total.

Derby vs Brentford

Frank Lampard was sent off last weekend as he got a taste for the dark side of management; the visit of third placed Brentford won’t calm the former Chelsea midfielder. The Bees are playing some terrific football, and with just one defeat to Blackburn, are showing the type of form to keep them in the business area. Only West Brom and Leeds have scored more than Brentford, with the both teams to score market looking profitable. Derby have folded in some of their biggest tests this season, with Brentford showing the form to come away with at least a point.

QPR vs Norwich

Steve McClaren is finally getting results out of his Rangers side. Ten points from their last four outings have seen the West Londoners move up to 16th spot, after drawing a blank in their first four. Norwich have also won their last two after a dodgy start; having only lost one away game so far will give them confidence ahead of the weekend. Both sides are enjoying life in the Championship at the moment, with a draw, and a point each, suiting all parties.

Middlesbrough vs Swansea

Swansea are still an unknown quantity after dropping into the second tier. Unable to string a positive run of results together, the Swans are lingering in 10th spot, taking five points from their last five outings. Boro’ are setting the pace with Leeds at the top of the tree, bouncing back well after their shock defeat to Norwich. Neither side look like conceding too many goals this season, however, the home side should have enough in a tight affair at the Riverside.
