English Premier League – Betting Tips

Premier League Betting Tips – 5th  – 8th October, 2018

The following are betting tips for selected fixtures in the English Premier League, covering matches taking place between the 5th and the 8th October, 2018.

Leicester vs Everton

Everton sprung back into life last weekend as questions were beginning to be asked of Marco Silva. A 3-0 win at home to Fulham was largely thanks to Gylfi Sigurdsson, as the Icelandic midfielder dug his heels in. Leicester are one of three sides without a draw this season and always seem to provide excitement. This excitement comes at both ends, having conceded 10 goals in seven matches. The home side has won the last three of these fixtures; seven out of the last nine have ended with over 2.5 goals.

Tottenham vs Cardiff

Tottenham’s injury woes shouldn’t alter the scoreline on Saturday. Lucas Moura and Harry Kane will look to punish the Cardiff defence from kick-off and should find success. Cardiff are still winless in the Premier League; a trip to Wembley may phase them. Spurs should keep a clean sheet against an attack that has scored just four times in seven outings.

Fulham vs Arsenal

Five wins on the spin for Emery’s Arsenal in the league as they take the trip West to their fourth London derby of the season. Fulham’s only win came at the Cottage in a 4-2 dissection of Burnley, however, the look very vulnerable at the back. They’ve leaked the most goals in the league so far; their reliance on Mitrovic to dig them out of trouble is clear. Home comforts should allow them to have successes against a nervous Leno, however, Arsenal should escape with all three points. An Arsenal win doesn’t show the best value in a tricky fixture; double it with BTSS.

Southampton vs Chelsea

Southampton’s only success came away at Palace this season; it seems that this campaign may rely heavily on the goals of Danny Ings. The striker has already netted three times since his return to the first team and will get chances against Chelsea’s developing defence. The Blues are averaging over two goals a game in the league; Hazard is proving impossible to stop in this form. Chelsea are unbeaten in their last five visits to the South Coast, winning four.

Liverpool vs Man City

City left it late in the week to dispatch of Hoffenheim, however, will have an extra day of rest after Liverpool’s trip to Naples. This shouldn’t be dismissed. Pep can rotate a lot more freely than Klopp, with City looking to banish their Anfield demons on Sunday. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 18 matches against City at home. This will be a real test of Liverpool’s new defence, with City likely to break through; it’s dependant on Salah et al. up the other end. Both teams should score.
