Europa League Betting Tips – Group Stage, Week 3 – 25th October , 2018
The following are betting tips for selected fixtures from week 1 of the group stage of the Europa League, covering matches taking place on the 20th September, 2018.
Sporting vs Arsenal
Both Sporting and Arsenal have dispatched of their Group E rivals in their opening two matches; both sit on six points looking to qualify for the knockout stages with little drama. Sporting are in dubious form in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. Four wins from their seven outings sees them lie in fifth spot, with struggles in front of goal their main concern. Arsenal are gelling well; despite rotating in Europe, expect the strongest Europa League lineup so far from Emery, as the Gunners look to top their group. Arsenal should score in Lisbon, however, the home support may restrict them to a point.

Milan vs Real Betis
Despite a couple of unconvincing performances, Milan top Group F as they invite the challenge of Betis to the San Siro. Betis have had an average start to life in this season’s La Liga. Just three wins have seen them hover in ninth spot; just five goals scored in eight matches is a huge concern for the Seville side. Milan are full of goals and should be able to negate Betis on Thursday.

Chelsea vs BATE
Chelsea escaped with a point against Man United on Saturday, with Sarri’s unbeaten start to life in West London continuing. Big rotations are expected once again with Chelsea sat comfortably on six points. Pedro and Willian should allow Hazard a rest, with Morata leading the line searching for much-needed goalscoring confidence. Bagging a couple on Thursday could do wonders for his season and he continues to be pulled for Giroud. BATE won’t last long against Chelsea’s possession probing.

Rangers vs Spartak Moscow
Rangers top Group G, surprisingly, amongst stiff opposition. Spartak Moscow are next to challenge Gerrard’s side; a home win would be a huge step towards the knockout phase, with Villarreal and Rapid Vienna biting at their heels. Rangers have found their shooting boots this season and should take advantage of the struggles that Russian sides have away in Europe. Don’t expect too many goals in this one, with Rangers hoping to steal it late on. Tavernier is crucial to the home sides attacking flair.

RB Leipzig vs Celtic
Celtic have struggled at the start of this season. The Europa League is high on their priority list, however, after waltzing to the league title over the past few seasons. They sit on three points with RB Leipzig, however, the German’s are a clear favourite in this Thursday’s night clash. The home side have scored an average of two per game in the Bundesliga, sitting just five points off the lead. Despite scoring ten goals in their last two games, this step up in class for Celtic should be apparent.
