Champions League – Betting Tips – Week 4

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING TIPS – WEEK 4 – 6th November – 7th November, 2018

The following are betting tips for selected fixtures from week 3 of the Champions League, covering matches taking place between the 6th November and 7th November, 2018.

Atletico Madrid vs Dortmund

Atletico are out for revenge. A fortnight ago, Dortmund were 4-0 victors against the Madrid side, inflicting the biggest defeat of Simeone’s tenure and Atleti since 2011. The group is still in the balance in regards to who finishes top. Three points separate the two sides, with Monaco and Club Brugge stranded on a point each. Dortmund’s form doesn’t look like relenting. They’re unbeaten in their last eighteen matches, however, it is famously hard to score away at Atletico. A draw would probably suit both, with Dortmund the happier at full-time.

Tottenham vs PSV

Tottenham keep churning out results in the Premier League, but still continue to show vulnerabilities at the back. PSV are scoring goals, and will be targeting a positive result at Wembley after a frustrating 2-2 a fortnight ago. A win for either would be crucial in their hunt for a knockout spot; Inter and Barcelona have a grip on Group B as it stands. A similar result to the one in Eindhoven is likely, with both sides finding the net.

Napoli vs PSG

It’s tight in Group C, with just two points separating Liverpool, Napoli and PSG. Napoli are still unbeaten in this year’s competition, and after scoring eleven goals in their last four games they’ll be confident against the star-studded PSG. Ancelotti stole a 2-2 goal in Paris two weeks ago, but with home comfort in Naples, PSG could find their backs against the wall. PSG are in fine form as well, but may just come short in finding all three points in Italy. Both teams could end up cancelling each other out, with a defeat meaning disaster.

Inter vs Barcelona

Barcelona will be looking to wrap up Group B with a win in Milan. They showed their character this weekend in a 3-2 win over Rayo Vallecano with two goals in the last five minutes; now with five wins in a row, Barca are warming to this campaign. Inter have scored eight goals in their last two outings – beating Lazio and Genoa with ease – and look capable of causing Barcelona problems at the San Siro, however, Barcelona are likely to score. Expect an entertaining match with the Catalans sealing it late.

Man City vs Shakhtar Donetsk

City won 3-0 in Donetsk two weeks ago, so don’t expect Pep and his side to go easy on the Ukrainians in Manchester. There were a few questions being asked of City at the start of this season, however, now the goals are well and truly flowing it seems like business as normal. They’ve scored 17 goals in their last five matches conceding just once; despite rotating in midfield, City will dominate on Wednesday.
