The Championship – Betting Tips

The Championship Betting Tips – 30th November – 3rd December 2018

The following are betting tips for selected fixtures in The Championship, covering matches taking place between the 30th November and 3rd December 2018

Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich

Forest shared the points with Villa midweek in a 5-5 thriller; a strange result for a side who have began to look fairly solid at the back under Karanka’s leadership. Ipswich are in free-fall after just one win in their nineteen Championship matches, now six adrift from safety. Lewis Grabban has netted a second best 12 goals in the league this season and is likely to strike again for the hosts in a comfortable home win.

Reading vs Stoke

Reading are still struggling to break away from the group of relegation candidates at the bottom of the Championship. Three of their four wins this season have come at the Madejski, with the Royals targeting all three points this weekend after a run of two draws and a loss. Stoke are unbeaten in six and eventually coming to the boil in the Championship. Expect the Potters to kick on from here this season as they push for the playoffs; they still have quality in their squad.

QPR vs Hull City

Stoke are still scrapping around for points. Just five wins since their return to the Championship has seen them loiter in 14th spot, with nothing much to shout about at the Bet365 Stadium. A visit from the unpredictable QPR will be of concern as the West Londoners continue their charge towards the playoffs. Despite Norwich, QPR have to be considered one of the form teams in the league, winning five of their last seven, losing one. There won’t be much in this one, however, both sides should find the net in a likely draw.

Middlesbrough vs Aston Villa

Boro are going about their business well in the Championship without setting the league on fire. Conceding only ten goals in nineteen fixtures should be applauded, and with only two losses the side currently sitting in third look good as a promotion candidate. Villa are blowing hot and cold; their midweek 5-5 draw with Forest highlighted their exciting style this season as they continue to knock on the door of the top six. Villa’s poor away form, coupled with Middlesbrough’s stubbornness should lead to a comfortable home win.

Over 2.5 goals @ 2.24 with Marathon Bet | Stake £10, return £22.40

Derby County vs Swansea

Separated by just five points, both sides will be looking to push into the playoff spots come the turn of the year. Derby look the better side on paper, but with the third best defence in the league the Swans rarely find themselves on the wrong end of a hiding. Oliver McBurnie is the jewel in the crown for the visitors with eight league goals. Just when Derby look like marching forward they suffer another setback, and this could be another one

Swansea double chance @ 2.04 with Bet 365 | Stake £10, return £20.40
