Weekend Tip Sheet

The following are our best football betting tips from the selected fixtures in the English Premier League, The Championship and across Europes Major leagues, covering matches taking place between the 1st February and 4th February 2019.

Premier League | Everton vs Wolves

Everton made hard work of their midweek trip to Huddersfield escaping with a 1-0 victory; Digne’s red card shouldn’t affect Silva’s back four stability with the Frenchman not starting the last fixture. The Toffees sit two points behind the visitors, with Wolves showing some of their best form of the season. Back-to-back wins against Leicester and West Ham have seen them net seven times; they’ll expect to breach the Everton defence with Jimenez leading the line. Both teams should score here, although the points may be shared.

Premier League | Leicester vs Man United

United’s last minute raid of Burnley’s three points on Tuesday left them with a share of the spoils in a fixture where the Red Devils took a while to get going. Solskjaer’s biggest test as United boss starts now; the honeymoon period is over as sides begin to look for potential weaknesses. Leicester have a big-game mentality and are capable of an upset at the King Power. Unbelievably, the hosts have the fifth best defence in the league and may frustrate the visitors.

Premier League | Chelsea vs Huddersfield

It’s all eyes on Higuain at Stamford Bridge on Saturday as the new Chelsea number 9 makes his first home start in the Premier League. In all honesty, he couldn’t wish for a better side to look to score against; Huddersfield have already conceded 41 goals this season. Chelsea need to keep their grip over the fourth position in the league, and are unlikely to stumble here against a Huddersfield side who have won twice in 24.

The Championship | Birmingham vs Nottingham Forest

Forest got back to winning ways at the weekend after a couple of stumbles since the departure of Karanka. Birmingham have struggled to get points on the board having gone six matches without a win; they’ve already drawn seven matches at home this season and have a vulnerability against the teams in and around them. Forest sit just two points ahead of The Blues, and will be wary of a leapfrog in defeat. The points have been shared in this one recently – Forest may just have the form to take three points.

The Championship | Leeds vs Norwich

It’s the battle of the top two in the Championship with Norwich sniffing an opportunity to leapfrog the hosts into top spot. Three points and two goals separate these two, however, combined they have won just three of their last ten matches. Leeds’ 3-0 away win at Carrow Road will still be fresh in the mind of Bielsa, however, this one is expected to be a lot tighter. This fixture has produced 22 goals in their past six meetings, with this one expected to be another slug fest. Leeds control the ball well at Elland Road, but Norwich are dangerous on the break – they’ve scored an impressive 54 goals this season.

The Championship | Millwall vs Rotherham

Millwall have been making the headlines for the right and wrong reasons in the previous week, with their 3-2 FA Cup win against Everton still fresh in the memories of the fans at The Den. Rotherham are the perfect team to play after the adrenaline high of last week has drained away; the Millers have one win in their previous 14 outings. Millwall looked dead and buried a few months back, however, their revival should continue this weekend.

Serie A | Roma vs Milan

Milan look pleased with their January business after new signing Krzysztof Piatek scored twice in a 2-0 Coppa Italia defeat of Napoli. The former Genoa striker will be looking to fire Milan into the top three as they chase down their rivals Inter in the second half of the season. Roma are the third highest scorers in the league and have struck form in recent weeks after a shocking start; 10 points have been taken from the past 12. This tie brings two form teams together, looking to piece back together their season. Roma’s 7-1 midweek loss in the Coppa will be swept under the carpet.

Serie A | Juventus vs Parma

Five of Parma’s eight wins this season have come away from the Stadio Ennio Tardini, however, a trip to Turin is a much taller task than those previous. Juventus have still only dropped four points this season, with two draws the only blotches on their copybook. Parma don’t score enough goals to outgun the reigning champions, with Allegri’s men winning at a canter. The handicap market is well worth a look.
