Weekend Tip Sheet, 22nd February 2019 | Football Betting Tips | Football Advisor

Weekend Tip Sheet

The following are our best football betting tips from the selected fixtures in the English Premier League, The Championship and across Europes Major leagues, and League Cups covering matches taking place between the 22nd and 25th February, 2019.

Premier League | West Ham vs Fulham

Without a win in their last five matches in all competitions, West Ham will be eyeing up their London rivals as easy prey on Friday evening. Fulham are seven points from safety and beginning to looks all but relegated. Ranieri has the ability to conjure up some shock results, but the consistency just isn’t there. The Cottagers have lost 11 of their 13 matches on the road this season, struggling with life away from West London. Fulham have conceded two or more goals in each of their last seven matches, with West Ham expected to pounce.

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.72

West Ham to win @ 1.85

Premier League | Arsenal vs Southampton

Arsenal’s home form hasn’t really been the concern this season. Sure, they have faltered at familiar hurdles when they make a step up, but for Southampton to gain three points at the Emirates on Sunday would take some doing. The Saints have slipped into the bottom three after taking just two points from the last nine available. A loss to Cardiff summoned them to eighteenth spot, as they begin the real fight to survive. Arsenal have lost two of their last nineteen home matches; Saints may score though.

Premier League | Man Utd vs Liverpool

It’s the big one in the Premier League this weekend, with two bitter rivals going head to head with it all on the line. United are looking to press forward their hold on fourth spot, whilst Liverpool’s quest for a league title goes on. United looked comfortable against Chelsea in FA Cup without Lingard and Martial. Those two are expected to be missing again on Sunday, with Liverpool’s attacking three licking their lips. Solskjaer still hasn’t quite worked out his defence yet, with Liverpool destined to score at least one. All signs point to a draw here, with both teams, arguably, settling for a share of the spoils come full-time.

Man United vs Liverpool draw @ 3.50

Premier League | Leicester vs Crystal Palace

Leicester’s form is currently one of the worst in the league, and if it wasn’t for Sarri’s tribulations at Chelsea, Claude Puel would be the imminent sacking on everyone’s lips. Palace have squeaked into the FA Cup quarter-finals and can take their form into the league. They are unbeaten in their last three, with a jump into the top ten not a target too high for Hodgson as we approach the spring. Three of Palace’s last ten league matches have finished with over 2.5 goals, meaning the Eagles have played up to their cagey stereotype. Both sides like late drama, however, a slow start is where we find the value at the King Power.

Leicester 0-0 C Palace at half-time @ 2.62

Championship | Middlesbrough vs QPR

Despite QPR’s horrible form, Middlesbrough have won just two of their last 11 matches at home. Over half of these have ended in draws, with Pulis’ side failing to put away beatable sides. Their two wins in this spell came against sides in the bottom five; QPR are playing like a side bottom of the Championship. McClaren is in the worst run of his professional career with six defeats on the bounce, however, The Hoops are the entertainers of the league this season. Boro’ like to keep it tight – they should escape with a narrow victory.

Middlesbrough to win @ 1.75

Under 2.5 goals @ 1.61

Championship | Norwich vs Bristol City

13 matches undefeated, Bristol City can claim to be one of the form sides of Europe. Lee Johnson’s side have won seven on the spin in the Championship and now find themselves knocking on the door in sixth spot. In Norwich, City come up against the Championship leaders. They’ve won three of their last four playing some scintillating football at times. 65 goals in 33 outings shows their threat upfront. Saying this, Norwich have won just two of their last five at Carrow Road, with a draw looking feasible.

Norwich vs Bristol City draw @ 3.60

Serie A | Parma vs Napoli

Napoli still find themselves in no man’s land in Serie A. In second spot, Ancelotti sits seven points ahead of inter and 13 behind Juventus, with a focus on the Europa League likely for the rest of the season. Parma are slipping after going a run of four league games without a win. Their home form is a bigger concern. Just one win in their last eight matches inside the Stadio Ennio Tardini have left them scrambling in twelfth. Napoli know how to negate these fixtures and should escape with a win.

Napoli to win @ 1.44

Serie A | Fiorentina vs Inter

This fixture has thrown up some interesting results in the past few seasons. 11 of the last 13 matches have involved over 2.5 goals with a 5-4 Fiorentina win in 2017 still their flagship meeting. The Artemio Franchi has seen the Viola lose just one of their last seven when hosting Inter; this year may be the biggest test of that statistic. Fiorentina have lost just two of their last 16 Serie A fixtures and should be able to fend off an Inter attack that has scored just 34 in 24 matches.

Under 2.5 goals @ 1.80
