Weekend Tip Sheet, 1st March 2019 | Football Betting Tips | Football Advisor

Midweek Tip Sheet

The following are our best football betting tips from the selected fixtures in the English Premier League, The Championship and across Europes Major leagues, and League Cups covering matches taking place between the 1st and 4th March, 2019.

Premier League | Bournemouth vs Man City

City are scraping by at the moment. They are still considered as the favourites for the title despite trailing Liverpool by a point, however, their injuries are mounting. Bournemouth are arguably one of the best sides for Pep to get his teeth stuck into this weekend. The Cherries have conceded the third most goals in the league, with City scoring 75 in 28 matches. City have won their last seven meetings in a run that goes back to 1999. If City are to stumble again in the league, it’s unlikely going to be against a side with a leaky defence.

Man City to win and over 3.5 goals @ 2.20

Premier League | Man Utd vs Southampton

United’s injury troubles have paved the way for a return to form for Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian striker netted twice in the week underlining his threat leading Solskjaer’s line. Saints are still floating dangerously close to the drop with a 2-0 win against Fulham in the week all but relegating the Cottagers. It’s a race to avoid 18th spot now, but the visitors won’t be banking on much in Manchester. United have lost one PL home match in 15 outings – they’ll be able to punish a Southampton side who average at just over one goal a game.

Man United -1 handicap @ 2.20

Premier League | Fulham vs Chelsea

A 2-0 at home to Tottenham on Wednesday eased the mounting pressure on Sarri’s position at Chelsea. His decision to drop Kepa will be under examination again on Sunday to see if Caballero keeps his place in the sticks. Scott Parker has taken the reins at Fulham after the dismissal of their second manager this season – Claudio Ranieri. The home side sit ten points from safety, with little hope of escaping. Chelsea have a good record at the Cottage, with Hazard and Higuain looking to continue their strong start to playing together.

Hazard to score anytime @ 2.10

Premier League | Everton vs Liverpool

The Merseyside derby hasn’t been kind to the Toffees recently. They’ve failed to win any of their previous 18 fixtures against their city rivals, and with Liverpool back to scoring ways, Sunday’s task looks tough for the home side. Firmino was replaced by Origi on Wednesday with the league leaders scoring five times. Everton have shipped plenty of goals against the big clubs this season, so will be wary of the away threat. Everton need to stay positive in this match and have enough attacking talent to score.

Both teams to score @ 1.80

Championship | Millwall vs Norwich

Norwich have a two point buffer at the top of the Championship, and with Millwall winning just one of their last eight league matches, the Canaries will be eyeing up all three points at the Den. Goals have flown in this fixture with 26 in the last five matches – Norwich won an entertaining 4-3 scrap back in November which set them on their way to the summit. Norwich have conceded the most goals in the top nine of the Championship; the run should continue with the overs goal market looking great.

Over 3.5 goals @ 3.40

Championship | Brentford vs QPR

This West London derby may mean very little in the grand scheme of the Championship, but with Brentford and QPR separated by just a point, it’s a chance to gain bragging rights in the capital. A 1-0 win at home to Leeds saw QPR put an end to their seven game losing streak in the Championship – McClaren needs to build on this if he is going to keep his job this summer. Brentford have taken 10 of their 11 wins at Griffin Park, with their form on the road unrecognizable to that in West London.

Brentford to win @ 1.70

La Liga | Real Madrid vs Barcelona

It’s the second El Clasico in four days, after a Luis Suarez inspired 3-0 win on Wednesday helped Barcelona ease into the Copa del Rey final. The Bernabeu welcomes the Catalans again on Saturday, with Valverde looking to rub their rivals’ noses in it with another convincing victory. Nine points separate them in the league with Atleti sandwiched in the middle in second; this really is Madrid’s last chance to stunt Barcelona’s race to the title by bringing the gap to six points with a victory. The performance of Vinicius Junior was the only positive for the hosts to take from Wednesday’s beating. The 18-year-old had six shots in the cup semi – more than any other Barcelona player. Back the youngster to score this weekend.

Vinicius Junior to score @ 3.10

Both teams to score @ 1.44
